Apple Nachos


I had the privilege and the pleasure of teaching at the Natural Parenting Expo here in Madison again this year.  We made four healthy homemade snacks.  As promised, I am sharing them here on Yummy Sprout.  We made Apple Nachos, Carrot Candy (Find the recipe HERE), Sweet and Spice Snack Mix and Purple Moon Smoothies.  First Up...Apple Nachos, a fun and healthy snack to please kiddos and gown ups alike. 



Apple Nachos
Ingredients:
Apples, thinly sliced (I use a mandolin or very sharp knife)
Almond or Sunflower Butter
Greek Yogurt, Plain
Shredded Coconut, unsweetened
Sunflower Seeds
Sliced Almonds
Dried Fruit (We used dried blueberries and dried pomegranate)

Spread the apples on a plate.  Spoon, squeeze or drizzle nut or seed butter and yogurt on to the apples.  Sprinkle on coconut, seeds, nuts and dried fruit - kids love this part.  Enjoy!
